Sangria. What does it have to do with me you ask?
Well, that's a great question. I'm not really sure, but according to my site stats, a good amount of people have searched for the recipe to Not Your Average Joe's sangria, and ended up on my site. I figured since they are coming here, I should try and help them out.
I have had NYAJ's sangria, and I will say it is pretty good. I can't however tell you how to make it. I will do you one better though. I will give you the recipe to Bobby Flay's sangria instead. Trust me, this is way better than NYAJ's.
It goes a little something like this:
2 bottles red Spanish table wine
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup triple sec
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pomegranate juice
1/2 cup simple syrup, or more to taste (equal parts sugar and water, heated until sugar dissolves, cooled)
Orange slices
Apple slices
Blackberries
Mix it together...Chill it...Pour it...Drink it.
New icon set created
I just wrapped up a new set of Retirement Investing icons.
The goal of the project was to create a set of 18 icons that would be used to highlight different areas throughout the client's site. I decided to go with more of an old school flat silhouette style icon with a bit of a modern flair to it. I think when it comes to icons, simple and clean is the way to go. You want them to enhance the page, not detract from it. A minimal number of clean, clear images can go a long way.
